Crochet Converse Baby Running Shoes

Sole (White)
Ch 15
Row 1
Sc in the 3rd ch from hook. Sc in next 6 ch. Dc in next 5 ch. 8 dc in the last ch. dc in next 5 ch. Sc in next 6 ch. 3 sc in last ch. Ss to the first sc.
Row 2
Ch2, dc in same stitch. Dc in next 13 stitches. 2 dc in next 7 stitches. dc in next 13 sts. 2 dc in next two sts. Ss to the first dc.
Row 3
Ch2, dc in same stitch. Dc in next 13 sts. 2 dc, 1 dc*, repeat it * 6 Times. Dc in next 14 sts. 2dc in next 5 sts. Ss to the 2nd ch.
Row 4
In this you have to work on blo.
Ch1, sc in all sts. Ss to the first sc.
Row 5
In this, you have to work normally ,(in two loops)
Ch1, sc in all stitches.
Row 6
Ch1, sc in all sts. Ss to the first sc. Fasten off.

Now you’re gonna work with another color because you’ll be working on the shoe.
Fold by the half the sole, and count 7 stitches (front part) to the left and other 7 to the right. Put stitch markers 🙂

Row 1
(Work in next stitch from de stitch marker)
Ch1, sc in the same st, sc in all the sts. Ch1, turn.
Row 2
Sc in all the sts. Turn.
Row 3
Ch3, sc in 6th ch from hook. Sc in all sts except the last one. Before you work in the last, you have to turn and make 3 ch, ss to the last st.
Row 4
Ss in 3 ch you did before. Sc in first st, sc in all the stitches. Turn.
Row 5
Ch3, sc in 6th ch from hook. Sc in all sts except the penultime. Before you work in the penultime, you have to turn and make 3 ch, ss to the penultime stitch. You don’t work the last one :).
Row 6
Ss in 3 ch you did before. Sc in first st, sc in all the stitches. Turn.
Row 7
Ch3, sc in 6th ch from hook. Sc in all sts except the penultime. Before you work in the penultime, you have to turn and make 3 ch, ss to the penultime stitch.
Row 8
Ss in 3 ch you did before. Sc in first st, sc in all the stitches. Turn.
Row 9
Ch3, sc in 6th ch from hook. Sc in all sts except the penultime. Before you work in the penultime, you have to turn and make 3 ch, ss to the penultime stitch.
Row 10
Ss in 3 ch you did before. Sc in first st, sc in all the stitches. Ch1, Turn.
Row 11
Sc in all the sts. Fasten off.

Now you’re gonna work on the half circle which is White color and the tongue which is in the another color.
Row 1
In White, Mr, ch1, make 4 sc in the Mr. Close it.
Row 2
Ch1, turn. Make 1 sc in first st. Make 2 sc in next 3 sts. Ch1, turn.
Row 3
Make 1 sc in first st. Make 1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next*. Repeat * to finish. Ch1, turn.
Row 4
Make 1 sc in first st. Make sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st*. Repeat it * to finish. Ch1, turn.
Row 5
Make 1 sc in first st. Make sc in next 3 sts, 2 in next st*. Repeat it * to finish. Fasten off and cut a big tail to sew it.
At the end, you’ll have 16 sts in the half circle. Now we’re going to work in the tongue. This with a different color.
Row 1
In the straight part, insert your hook and make a ss, you’re gonna make 11 sc, the sc 6 is gonna be in the middle of the half circle. Ch1, turn.
Row 2
Make sc in all sts. Ch1, turn.
Repeat row 2 till have 15 rows.
Row 16
At the end of row 15, you don’t make the ch1, just turn. Skip first st and make sc in all of the next sts, excep the last one. Turn.
Row 17
Skip first sts, make 1 sc in all sts except the last one. Fasten off.
Now you’re gonna sew the half circle to the shoe. Put the sc in the front part with the sts of the half circle and sew them, one loop from the half circle, one loop from the shoe. Tip. The half circle has 16 Sts, so, put 1 st in the first st you made the shoe in the other color, and another one in the other side, so you have 14 sts that match together.

Now you’re going to make the black lines. This is with the yarn needle and black yarn. Between the first and second row ( in high part of the Solé).

The second one is in the part where the shoe starts. Make the same of the previous line.

Now we’re gonna make the circle star.
Row 1 (White)
Mr, ch2, make 9 hdc in the circle. Close it.
Row 2.
Make 2 sc in all sts. Ss to the first sc. Fasten off. Cut a big tail to sew it.

For the star, with black yarn and yarn needle.

For the shoe laces, ch 200 and ss to all. Over the chains. Put to your shoe and they’re ready to go!

I used light wosterd weight yarn and a 2.75 mm hook to obtain a 10.5 cm baby shoes. The lady at the vídeo uses fingering yarn with two threads and a 2 mm hook.

For the black lines and the star, I recommend to see the vídeo because I coudn’t explain it 😥
