Mug cozy pattern

As promised, here’s another free crochet pattern. Just like the dishcloth pattern I posted a few weeks ago, this one is pretty simple and only uses a little bit of yarn. I love mug cozies, they dress up a plain coffee cups and help to keep the coffee warm longer. They also make a nice gift…I made some for teacher gifts last year and included the mug as well. Skill level: Easy Abbreviations:

  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • hdc – half double crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • sk – skip
  • sts – stitches

Materials:

  • Cotton worsted weight yarn – 50g (enough to make 4 cozies)
  • Crochet hook – Size 8/5.00mm
  • Button
  • Blunt needle
